Freedom is more than an unlocked door—it’s a pathway you must walk. The Buried Alive Program exists to build that bridge for those serving life‑without‑parole sentences. Inspired by my own clemency, we combine Legal Advocacy with Holistic Reentry Support.
Our first battleground is the clemency petition. Pro‑bono law students meticulously research each case—criminal history, personal growth, community impact—and craft stories compelling enough to persuade a governor or the president. To date, we’ve secured freedom for over 60 “lifers,” each success a testament to human potential.
But release is only step one. Once free, individuals face a world that’s moved on. We offer Career‑Readiness Workshops: resume writing, interview simulations, and digital literacy training. We facilitate Peer‑Led Mentorship Circles, where graduates share hard‑earned wisdom and offer accountability. We even connect participants to mental‑health resources to heal emotional scars.
Success isn’t measured by freedom alone—it’s measured by thriving. Our graduates have launched businesses, entered college, and become community champions. Through collective action, we ensure that clemency becomes a launchpad, not a return to old cycles.
